The first UK holiday park group to achieve Vegetarian Society trademarks for vegetarian and vegan menu options.
The award-winning Cove UK has become the first UK holiday park group to receive Vegetarian Society Approved Vegetarian and Vegan trademarks across its menu. A total of 17 dishes have been accredited. They will be available across four of Cove UK’s holiday parks: Seal Bay, West Sussex; Solway, Cumbria; Hunters Quay and Drimsynie in Argyll, Scotland. This move reinforces Cove UK’s commitment to offering high-quality, meat-free dining options, with the trademarks giving guests assurance that these dishes meet strict vegetarian and vegan standards.
With consumer demand for meat-free options rising, the internationally recognised Vegetarian Society Approved trademarks ensure that Cove UK’s newly accredited dishes appeal to a broad audience. The menu items allow vegetarian and vegan guests – as well as those looking to enjoy meat-free meals – to dine with confidence. The new menus are already available to their holiday homeowners and residences, with a full rollout to all guests by the end of March for the start of the 2025 season.
Jason Wardill, Group Development Chef at Cove UK, said:
“Eating vegetarian or vegan shouldn’t be boring. At Cove UK, we’ve created dishes that appeal to all – tempting even those who would normally only eat meat or fish – to try something different. Our trademarks from the Vegetarian Society give our guests reassurance that we’ve taken our menu creation seriously and that we want to encourage a balanced approach to healthy and sustainable eating.”
Nina Anderson, Head of Corporate Relations at the Vegetarian Society, said:
“We’re delighted that Cove UK has secured the Vegetarian Society Approved trademarks for its menu options, marking a first for holiday parks in the UK. This accreditation means guests can trust the vegetarian and vegan dishes at Cove’s resorts meet the highest standards, free from cross-contamination and animal-derived ingredients. It’s fantastic to see Cove UK leading the way with such an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu. This shows their commitment to quality, sustainability, and the growing demand for meat-free options.”
Cove UK’s dedication to offering diverse, high-quality plant-based dishes aligns with a wider movement towards sustainability and healthier eating choices.
