Michael and Christy Gallaher are proud to announce the birth
of their daughter, Ryann Presley Gallaher. Ryann was born at
7:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008, at Midland Memorial Hospital in
Midland, Texas. She weighed 7lbs. 2oz. and was 19 in. long.
Proud grandparents are Cathy Pickett and the late Terry
Pickett of Coleman, Mike Gallaher of Santa Anna, Texas and
Debra Walton of Victoria, Texas.

Coleman, are happy to announce the engagement and
approaching marriage of their son and his fiancé Dade Cosby
and Julie Riley.
Julie is the daughter of Mark & Cindy Riley of Robert Lee
and the granddaughter of Morgan & Barbara Riley of San
Angelo and D. J. & Nelia Walker of Robert Lee. Dade is the
grandson of Syd Cosby and the late Jack Cosby of Coleman,
Linda & Jamie Sallee of Brownwood, Bobbie & Rodney Jones of
Coleman, and Jesse Mills, Sr. of Coleman.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate from Robert Lee High
School and is pursuing a career as a dental hygienist. Julie
is employed with Texas Vet Lab in San Angelo.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate from Coleman High
School and graduated from Angelo State University on May 10,
2008 with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with an
emphasis in Finance & Business Administration. He is
employed with San Angelo Banking Center in San Angelo.
The wedding will take place at the Robert Lee Baptist Church
in Robert Lee, Texas on August 9, 2008.

Kale Allen Stratton was born April 14th at Harris Methodist
Hospital in Fort Worth. He weighed 2 lbs. 6 oz. and was 15
in. long. Kale is welcomed by proud mom Kelsey Stratton and
grandmother Tonya Stratton.
Kale will be in NICU at Harris for the next 6- 8 weeks. A
fund has been established at CITI-Bank in Coleman. Also,
peach cobbler is being sold at Our House Texas with all
proceeds going to Kelsey & Kale.

Family Meeting
5/6/2008
On May 3,2008 the children of Claude and Elda Barnett got
together for their annual meeting and girls night out.
Randall got home late Thursday, Riley was already in bed.
Nell and Casey arrived Friday and had a nice visit with
Randall and Riley before everyone else arrived on Saturday,
which started before noon so off we went to Hidalgo‘s for
lunch. The staff is so nice and they don’t pay any attention
to the noise from our table and the food is great. After
lunch some went back to Randall’s and played Texas Hold ‘em,
some took a nap, and some did some cooking for the girls
night out.
I did not win at Texas
hold’em, Nell was well rested and Annie didn’t have to cook
once all the girls arrived. By 5:00 everyone that was coming
was here except Rinn but he called said they were leaving
Abilene and would call and place his order by 5:30 if they
weren’t here by then. So off to Caroline’s the rest of us
went. Caroline got to meet some relatives she hadn’t met
before and to tease the ones she knew. Rinn called for
directions to Caroline’s because he missed it but knew he
was close, he was on Aunt Wanda’s street. Annie went outside
to stand and wait for them and give directions to the
restaraunt. You know it always takes me longer than that to
get here from Abilene. Paige was our waitress and did a
really good job of putting up, I mean, taking our orders and
keeping tea in the glasses. Thanks to Caroline and her staff
we had a great meal and no clean up.
We then went back to Randall’s and had our meeting to get
ready for the holidays and the family reunion for next year.
Amid the laughing and joking we had a good meeting and a
good time.
Leaving the boys at Randall’s some of the girls went to
Annie’s for our night out. Nell, Claudia, Donna, Annie, and
I had a great time. I fixed Bananas over you; we played
games, looked at pictures and talked. Richard called about
midnight to say he won at Texas Hold’em and that was all we
heard from them. I am sure the boys had a good time. I know
the girls did until after 3:00am.
We were up early, Annie had made sausage bread for breakfast
and we had coffee or coke to drink. We packed up the cars
and off to Randall’s we went to say our goodbye. Everyone
was on their way before noon. Annie, Nell, and I had an
appointment to get our nails done but I choose to take a nap
instead. Hope Annie and Nell didn’t fall asleep while having
theirs done.
Here for all the fun was Nell Hopper, Roland and Jean
Barnett, Claudia Kemp, Richard and Donna Barnett, Randall
Barnett, Annie and Billy Brown, Ricky and Joanne Barnett,
Casey Lobstein, Rinn and Janey Barnett, and Riley Barnett.
We missed not having Ray, Brenda, Glenn, and Randy with us.
We are looking forward to the family reunion where there
will be many more around.
By the grace of God all arrived home safely.
